D5DOG Header

We have organized three committees that will help us reach the goals of our mission statement. As a committee member, you'll help decide what programs, events and projects you would like D5DOG to be involved with. All members have valuable talents, ideas and interests that can be employed towards reaching our shared goals. Members are encouraged to choose a committee they might like to be involved with ~ most committees require only a small commitment of time and service.

Special Events Committee: The Special Events Committee members are interested in organizing special events sponsored by D5DOG that are fun, advocate the D5DOG mission statement objectives and ideas, and promote membership & involvement in D5DOG. Ideas include: picnics, parties, get-togethers. The Special Events Coordinator heads this committee by organizing committee members and projects.

Impact Committee: Impact Committee members are creative types who manage marketing/PR-type stuff (fliers, tee-shirts, etc.) along with being involved with how D5DOG presents itself to (if ever) the media, other local groups and non-D5DOG members (PR stuff). The Impact Coordinator heads this committee and can speak eloquently and write effectively about issues with the D5DOG mission in mind.

Outreach/Education Committee: This committee manages outreach and education programs by becoming involved with the community in teaching responsible dog guardianship and teaching non-dog guardians about living with dogs in the community. They work with both the Impact and Special Events committees as needed. The Outreach/Education Coordinator heads this group by organizing committee members and projects.
